LDC™ Liquid Dust Control

LDC™ is a concentrate liquid co-polymer that is diluted with water to prevent fugitive dust and soil erosion. LDC™ performs on all types of soil including sand, gravel, silts, clays, and other combinations. Erosion is the process of weathering and movement of soil and rock and LDC™ effectively binds soil particles together to prevent soil erosion and is the perfect solution for the prevention of sediment runoff. To effectively treat soil erosion, a topical application of LDC™ results in a strong impermeable barrier preventing water adsorption and also forms a protective coating to prevent windblown dust.

Some projects require only a one-time application while others require several light applications. LDC™ is non-toxic, non-corrosive, and dries clear to prevent PM-10 fugitive dust emissions or soil erosion from wind and rain. Typically, water mix rates are one-part LDC™ with five to ten parts water, dilution rates will vary depending on soil characteristics, climate, and traffic conditions.

Application of LDC™ is fast and easy with a water truck or pressurized spray equipment. Typically, concentrated LDC™ is used at 0.05 to 0.20 gallons per square yard (225 to 900 ml/M2). Actual application rates depend on soil conditions and end use considerations. Roads can be opened to traffic immediately after application and in hot dry weather, treated surfaces cure quickly while cool weather or high humidity extends the cure time. LDC™ is economical to use and shipped in non-returnable IBC totes and bulk tank truck volume only.

LDC™ is ideal for use on

  • Mine Haul Roads
  • Construction Sites
  • Agricultural Roads
  • Military Operations
  • Stockpile capping
  • Slope Erosion Control
  • Unpaved roads and Parking lots
  • Hydro-seed and Mulch Tackifier
  • Helicopter & Airfield Dust Control

LDC™ effectively binds soil particles together to soil erosion and is the perfect solution for the prevention of sediment runoff. Erosion is the process of weathering and movement of soil and rock. It occurs from water or wind and the rate of erosion depends on factors that include the amount and intensity of rain and wind speed. To effectively treat soil erosion, a topical application of LDC™ will form a strong impermeable barrier preventing water adsorption and form a protective sheet to prevent windblown dust.

When LDC™ is applied for Dust Control, it is important to prepare your soil first. Application of LDC™is fast and easy with a water truck or pressurized spray equipment. Application rates vary depending on the desired outcome, end use, and dosage rates. Typically, concentrated LDC™ is used at 0.15 to 0.5 gallons per square yard. Actual application rates depend on soil conditions and end use considerations.

In hot dry weather, treated soil typically cures in a few hours while cool weather or high humidity extends the cure time.
